Factory music studio
簡介-Introduction
The Factory Music Studio is a music composition and production studio, led by award-winning music composer/producers. We have a simple strategy; we aim to produce works that connect to people. Works that transcend cultural and social borders that will stand out and be noticed. System of investment for industry was developed because people with good ideas rarely have any money. Sound familiar, music industry? You may have a great idea for an album, tour, creative bit of march or something else entirely, but pulling it all off requires money. Often, it requires a lot of money. If you are a musician trying to make it on your own or a small music related business, and out of necessity your idea of a splurge is going for the Charmin over theAngel Soft, funding your great ideas may require a little help.
So, what are your options? Credit cards - yes, it's been done. It's a little scary and not usually your best choice. If you have a sky high interest rate and no idea when you will see some returns on your investment, using your credit cardsto fund your project can leave you very personally vulnerable. Preserving your ability to rent an apartment, get a car and so on will make your life easier, so think long and hard before relying on cards to finance your project. If you have a card, the interest rate is low and the amount you need to spend is modest - and if you are confident you can pay it off in a reasonable amount of time - then a credit card could maybe bridge some gaps for you in a pinch. If you are frantically applying for all of the cards you can to stack up enough credit to make your project a go - no! Stop! Don't do it!

我們是怎樣的人-WHO WE ARE
TheRecording Industry of Malaysia (RIM)is the trade group that represents the Malaysian recording industry. Our mission is to foster a business and legal climate that supports and promotes our members' creative and financial vitality. Our members are the record companies that comprise the most vibrant national music industry in the world. RIM members create, manufacture and/or distribute approximately 95% of all legitimate sound recordings produced and sold in Malaysia.
In support of this mission, we work to protect intellectual property rights worldwide and the First Amendment rights of artists; conducts consumer, industry and technical research; and monitors and reviews state and federal laws, regulations and policies. The RIM also certifies Gold, Platinum, Multi-Platinum, and diamond sales awards.
How we do our business
our music business sells compositions, recordings and performances of music. Among the many individuals and organizations that operate within the industry are the musicians who compose and perform the music; the companies and professionals who create and sell recorded music (e.g., music publishers, producers, studios, engineers, record labels, retail and online music stores, performance rights organizations); those that present live music performances (booking agents, promoters, music venues, road crew); professionals who assist musicians with their careers ( talent managers, business managers, entertainment lawyers); those who broadcast music (satellite and broadcast radio); journalists; educators; musical instrument manufacturers; as well as many others. Materialism.
The popularity of our internet music distribution has increased and by 2007 more units were sold over the internet than in any other form. However, as the Economist reports, "paid digital downloads grew rapidly, but did not begin to make up for the loss of revenue from CDs.
The turmoil in the industry has changed the balance between artists, record companies, promoters, retail music stores and the consumer. The leading music retailers are now box stores (Wal-Mart and Best Buy) and music-only stores are no longer a player in the industry. Recording artists now rely on live performance and merchandise for the majority of their income, which in turn has made them more dependent on music promoters like Live Nation (which dominates tour promotion and owns a large number of music venues. In order to benefit from all of an artist's income streams, our company is increasingly relying on the "360 deal",

At the other extreme, record companies can offer a simple manufacturing and distribution deal, which gives a higher percentage to the artist, but does not cover the expense of marketing and promotion. Many newer artists no longer see any kind of "record deal" as an integral part of their business plan at all. Inexpensive recording hardware and software has made it possible to create high quality music in a bedroom and distribute it over the internet to a worldwide audience. Consumers now we have access to a wider variety of music than ever before, at a price that is gradually approaching zero.
Out of the hundreds of reader questions we have answered during Hit Talk's first year, perhaps none is more persistent than how to attain a hotter, better-mastered mix. It's a persistent question because attaining a bold, big sound requires inspired production wizardry and skill at every single stage of the music-making process - from recording, to picking samples, to mixing and equalizing, right down to this tip's topic: the final master.
Good mixing and good mastering require good monitoring, preferably with a properly-positioned 2.1 system. So, be forewarned that this tip and good production in general requires quality monitoring. It's also wise to familiarize yourself with Hit Talk's online and email tips, as well as Hit Theory, to get a better sense for some of the processes that come before this final stage. With those qualifiers out of the way, here's a tutorial illustrating what we consider a sound approach to mastering your final mix.
Mission Statement
A sizeable proportion of our clients are not only Malaysia-based. We regularly work for clients overseas like South Africa ,Guinea,Kenya,France, Germany, across the US, Canada, Australia, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Denmark, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, Holland, Sweden and so on.
Sessions range from simple voice recording with the client listening/directing via a 'phone or Skype patch - to full sound-to-picture ADR sessions using ISDN or Source Connect.
Producing/directing via a 'phone patch is surprisingly clear and easy. We've even had sessions where a guide track has been played to us over the phone. It works fine! And we can quickly FTP you the final recording raw, or broken down & edited/converted to your desired format or as zipped Pro Tools sessions. We regularly convert to telephony formats.
If the voice artist needs to work to picture send us a MOV/MPEG. An easy way to work.
If the time difference is huge, we try to check our emails up at anytime.
We can invoice and accept payment in RM, USD or Euros. Generally, for the first session we prefer payment by credit card or bank draft not. We can set up 30 day accounts for large organizations. Payment should be made by wire.
If required, we can source KL voice artists for you. We charge an extra 20% on the voice costs. Generally it's faster and cheaper for you to look at the websites of voice agents most have online samples.
結論-Conclusion
Music Industry has always brought our experience further, and it has always given us good profit in our business, because of its easiness to deal with and Music has purpose. Whether it's supposed to make you happy or sad, nostalgic or excited for the future, whether its for celebration or mourning, healing or hurting, or even if it's just there to make you think, music has a purpose. We personally do not think that audience sounds are music. Scuffling feet, heavy breathing, and sneezes are not equal to Moonlight. But at the same time it is music because it is sound with a purpose. Some musicians want their audience to think about their personal definition of music. Although not everything is music, but everything can be music. Context is everything. If a composer writes music that includes sounds that you might not normally think of as music, then those sounds are music. we actually play a wind ensemble piece that included recorded whale song...but that's a whole other story.
