Do you know in the world there are a group of children who live in motels or government-subsidized housing? Do you know some children may be not clever or feel alone? Do you know we have an orgaization-Study Buddy and whether you look down upon these children or these orgaizations?你知道世界上有一群住在旅館或政府補貼住房的孩子嗎？你知道有些孩子可能不聰明或感到孤獨？你知道我們有一個組織學習的伙伴，你是否看不起這些孩子或經濟？

 

 

If you read a book—《The Invisible Man》 written by Ralph Ellison. The novel showed that a

black man who was ignored by people. He was an invisible man.  When he underwent a series of

events and unfair, he still afforded to live. Finally, he still was unsuccessful. Undoubtedly, a black

man was a pity guy. In the road of his life, he was ignored. This black man needed to attention. 

 

 

Relevant researches show that the buddy plays the important in the life of people. Now in modern society, There are study buddy organizations. Many people think that the children or people in Study buddy are very foolish people. So the people always pay little attention to or ignore those people in study buddy. However, the fact is not so. In study buddy communities, the people are very lively. Every child in Study Buddy feels safe, loved and celebrated. The founder of Challenge Day organization (a studying buddy organizaiton)said:”our mission is toprovide youth and their communities with experiential programs that demonstrate the possibility of love and connection through the celebration of diversity, truth, and full expression.” (ChallengeDay)

There is a story about children in Study Buddies. In Fairfax City, the children, most of whom live in motels or government-subsidized housing, children get about 20 minutes of playtime with their teen tutors, one-on-one help on homework and -- if they finish early -- an opportunity to play board games in Study Buddy. The attention the children receive at Study Buddies often replaces negative influences in their communities, volunteers said. Similarly, in China, Erik Nilsson made the friend with Xue Chen, who survives in the SiChuan Earthquake and is a pitiful people. He had been cramming for the National College Entrance Exam (gaokao), first in tents and then in makeshift classrooms. Erik Nilsson was prepare for the National Chinese Proficiency Test. Through their mutual aid and their effort, they got high scores. 

According to the above examples, the children in Study Buddy are very lively and clever. Differently, we only provide some help or more attention for these children.  Please remember, only a little of help, you can change their life.
